Hatsumukashi

The term "Hatsu" signifies the first harvest. While other tea shops may call their Matcha "Hatsumukashi," it is important to note that they are not all the same. In the Edo era, Uji tea masters gave this title to Matcha, which was ground in a stone mill using freshly picked tea leaves from the beginning of the year. This tea is highly regarded for its soft, fragrant buds packed with nutrients. One of the most notable options among a range of matcha products is "Hatsumukashi."
